I bought 3 more air fryer trays for it, and use them for dehydrating. The small mesh is perfect, without having to use tray liners. I have a Cabela's 6 tray dehydrator, which I really like, but it doesn't have a timer and auto shut off that the Breville Smart Oven has. I can walk away knowing that whatever I'm dehydrating will not get over-dried because I forgot about it.

Once you learn how to get the most out of it it's very impressive.

Yo I haveI have this exact model. Pyrex makes these glass pie / plate things. I got a bunch of those and either use those glass plate things or go directly on the rack. After using this thing for years, the thought of a microwave is just silly to me. Short story long, the start button is getting wonky (apparently it’s a common issue with these guys). I’m going to try to repair it but if I can’t I’m getting a new one so I’m checking out reviews. I realize that no-body cares but I started typing and just couldn’t stop. :P

I've also stopped using the big oven since I got a smaller one. It's way more efficient, and can do everything the bigger oven does, including baking actual bread.

We have had an 800XL for over 10 years and I just cleaned it last night. I took a razor blade to the inside and outside of the glass and tried the baking soda paste then dishwasher detergent paste, scrubbing with dish rag, Dobie sponge, and Scotch Brite eraser. It looks much better, but not perfect. I probably spent three hours on it! I had to buy a new spring for the door at the hardware store– it's a little too strong, but it works. My start stop button is now also a little finicky. Someone posted directions online for taking it apart and fixing it, but it seems like a real pain. I find that by pressing it slowly, it works more reliably.

Awesome review. Thank you.
Restarted life after a divorce, got one secondhand as I’m trying to shrink my footprint. It is incredible and makes cooking for one person so easy, and doesn’t take long. Food tastes phenomenal.
Thanks for the review.
