For all the noobs (such as myself) who are wondering:
1. Pull (Pulling) is swimming only with the arms (using a pull buoy for example).
2. Build means to start the set easy and gradually swim faster and faster.
3. Descend means that each swim gets faster, for example 4x25 gives first 25 slowest, second faster, third faster than second, fourth 25 is fastest.

Hope that helps

I swim to exercise, not to race. I swim about 7500 yards per week and always use a center positioned snorkel. I enjoy these videos and try to apply what I learn from watching them. Thank you for the valuable instruction.

One more advantage: injury

Im a life long swimmer and have nerve damage that limits my neck rotation now. Snorkels allow me to swim without pain.

Which is your favorite snorkel? I have a hard time clearing all of the water out of the MP snorkel, with a smaller size snorkel it’s better but the comfort isn’t the same as MP snorkel. Maybe a tutorial on how to breathe and clear a snorkel 😍❤️ thank you for this great video 🙃

I've solved my back problems using snorkel. Because I predominantly breath on one side, and because of poor rotation, my strokes become unequal and I developed a disbalance in my lats which caused a lot of pain. With snorkel you can force yourself to have absolutely equal strokes. It took me more than a month to stop feeling that my right lat was a lot more tired. One tip - at the beginning use nose clip, because you might try to breath in through your nose while you are in water. Later you can get used to breathe just through your mouth.

I started swimming because I wanted to lose weight (type II diabetes mellitus). I didn't dare to do freestyle, as an asthmatic I wasn't able to breathe. Still, I forced myself. I started by buying a swimming snorkel. With that, I solved my breathing and started what I call recreational swimming fitness. My first success was when I got back to the start in a 25-metre pool. My heart was pounding, I couldn't catch my breath, my muscles were aching, but I said to myself, it has to go. Today, I swimming 8 km per week, at a pace of about 25 min/km. I freestyle swim all the time with a snorkel, I play with my breath, lengthen, shorten, I often swim with paddles to gain strength and feel for the water.
I'm gradually improving my technique, thanks to the snorkel the stance is almost absolutely horizontal, beautifully in the streamline. I've added a backstroke where I'm gradually increasing the distance.
My unequivocal recommendation, for every beginner freestyler who doesn't want to race. Forget about breathing, start with a snorkel, and continue with a snorkel, you won't spoil your technique, the contrary, it will help you a lot, you save 70% of the effort.

Thank you for this, I love using my snorkel. It was difficult to regulate my breathing in the beginning, but once I got used to it, I realized how valuable it is. Thank you for the workout, I needed some guidance.

yeah for snorkels! wish i had one years ago. I am a disabled swimmer from car accident. A fuzed ankle and other injuries causes me to rotate more to compensate so i can breath. this tool has taught me not only to relax, but be aware of the position of my legs without all that neck rotation, splashing, breathing, etc. swimming with a snorkel is a very Zen experience.

Love my snorkel I swim for fitness and use fins.. You can be a fast machine and get good workouts.. I have broke my neck several times and this allows me to minimize the pain turning my neck and concentrate on the work out..

Can you explain what you mean by drill/swim and pull build! Some of us are just learning!
